Juventus preparing to offload Paul Pogba to find £50m bid for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling
Juventus are ready to splash out £50m to sign Liverpool's Raheem Sterling.
With contract talks over a fresh deal not taking place until the summer, Juventus are hoping to make an early move for the 21-year-old.
The Sun says that the move will be funded by offloading Paul Pogba who continues to be linked with a switch to Chelsea and Manchester United.
Juve, however, would demand around £75m if they do sell their French international.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will attempt to scupper Manchester United's attempt to sign Memphis Depay this summer.
The Mail says that Liverpool hope to convince the PSV Eindhoven star that he would get more first-team football at Anfield rather than Old Trafford.
United confirmed yesterday that they have made enquiries for the Holland international - as have PSG - but Liverpool have noted their interest with the player's representatives.
PSV rejected a £14m bid for Tottenham for Depay last summer and currently value the player at around £25m.
PSV Eindhoven general manager Toon Gerbrands said: "We have given an indication of the price for Depay, which is probably more than €25m. Therefore we can have no quibbles with Depay's management [over the price].
Gerbrands added: "Depay must first reach an agreement with a club and if that club are willing to pay the transfer fee then he can leave quickly."
