Jose Mourinho has rid Manchester United of many remnants of Louis van Gaal's tenure, but one key man appointed by his predecessor has been given a promotion by the Red Devils.
Dutch football coach Marcel Bout arrived at Old Trafford with van Gaal in the summer of 2014 as the chief opposition scout, but his future was uncertain following the sacking of the decorated manager.
Although four members of van Gaal's backroom staff - including club legend Ryan Giggs - left the club along with the deposed manager, Mourinho and the club bosses have found a new role for Bout, appointing him as United's new head of global scouting, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Since coming to the club, Mourinho has been keen to not only add to the senior squad, but to also overhaul the club's academy and scouting structure.
To that end, Mourinho has signed off on Bout's promotion while also hiring Armand Benneker to join the revamped scouting team.
