Jordan Henderson contract stand-off at Liverpool puts Chelsea on alert

As Steven Gerrard departs for Los Angeles, is his anointed successor and former Fulham target Jordan Henderson about to follow him out of the Anfield exit door this summer?
The Daily Star thinks so, reporting that he has copied Raheem Sterling by rejecting the club's latest contract offer offer (£80,000 a week or '0.533 of a Sturridge'). With his current deal ending in 2016, Chelsea have been alerted to the impasse and are considering a bid.
Happier news comes courtesy of Paris Saint-Germain where the Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani has just about had his fill of Laurent Blanc after being substituted with half an hour to go during their victory over Marseille on Sunday.
The Daily Express reports that Cavani 'clashed with Blanc' as he left the field and will be fought over by Liverpool, Arsenal and Atlético Madrid at the end of the season.
Juan Iturbe, the diminiutive 21-year-old, Argentine Roma forward is still very much on Brendan Rodgers' radar despite signing a five-year deal only last summer. His agent has told Metro, "Iturbe's injury was not well understood by Roma and that didn't give him confidence. Will he leave? There are very good proposals from England for him."
