Ireland internationals Jonathan Walters and Robbie Brady enjoyed their trip back home as the pair were on target for Burnley in a 4-0 pre-season win over Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght Stadium.

Walters, a recent arrival from Stoke in a £2million deal, started for the Clarets and put them in front on 10 minutes, beating Rovers keeper Kevin Horgan with a well-placed shot to claim his first goal for the club following his move.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche rang the changes with nine substitutions at half time, with Ireland caps Robbie Brady, Stephen Ward, Jeff Hendrick and Kevin Long introduced.

Ashley Barnes made it 2-0 for Burnley on 51 minutes and Dubliner Brady treated the crowd in his home town to a goal on 69 minutes, Sam Vokes adding a fourth goal two minutes from time.
