Jamie Carragher teases Twitter followers with cryptic message and has dig at Gary Neville
Jamie Carragher WILL NOT team up with Gary Neville on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports tonight.
The pair have not starred alongside each other on a Monday evening since Neville left England to take over at Valencia last December.
Neville was sacked by Valencia at the end of last night and football fans have been calling for the former Manchester United right-back to rejoin Carragher on our TV screens.
Carragher' tweet this afternoon suggested that those prayers have been answered and the duo would appear together for Sky Sports coverage of Tottenham's vital trip to Stoke, where a win would see them close to within five points of leaders Leicester but alas, it is not to be.
MNF is back tonight! A man who had a spell in Spain & came back earlier than expected will join us tonight!!— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) April 18, 2016
He tweeted: "MNF is back tonight! A man who had a spell in Spain & came back earlier than expected will join us tonight!!."
When most of Carragher's followers jumped to the conclusion that it was Gary Neville, the former Reds skipper denied it and had a dig at his punditry pal.
Sorry, no he's not. The man on tonight came back with some trophies! https://t.co/fZulSVovLq— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) April 18, 2016
