Ireland manager Martin O’Neill will anxiously await news on Seamus Coleman after the Everton right-back was forced off during today’s 3-1 victory over struggling Chelsea.

A hat-trick from Steven Naismith ensured Jose Mourinho’s side left Goodison Park empty-handed as early season defensive jitters continue to haunt the Blues.

Roberto Martinez’s side were full value for the win, but Irish fans will be concerned after Coleman was substituted with 13 minutes remaining with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

With less than four weeks until Ireland host world champions Germany in the Euro 2016 qualifier at the Aviva Stadium, all eyes will be on the medical updates for the former Sligo Rovers player.
