'I decided to come out!' - Eamon Dunphy reveals he is a Liverpool fan
Eamon Dunphy made a surprising declaration on the radio last night, revealing to listeners that he is a Liverpool supporter.
Dunphy, who was an apprentice at Manchester United when Matt Busby was in charge of the first team, was speaking on Game On on 2FM when he decided to 'come out' as a Reds fan.
Jurgen Klopp's men took a big step towards Champions League qualification with a 1-0 win away to Watford last night, and Dunphy appears to be in the group of people hoping to see Liverpool book their place in next season's European Cup.
"I am a Liverpool supporter - I decided to come out!," he said.
"It’s been a desperate season for Liverpool supporters, seeing them blow a led at Bournemouth and fail so often to beat mediocre sides at home.
"I think when they have to break teams down they find it difficult.
"They’ve had some injury problems and Mane is a huge loss to them and Lallana as well, and of course, they’ve no defence.
"If they get in the Champions League they’re going to have to buy big time. They’re really short of players."
