Giggs in Swans frame
Swansea City are weighing up a move for Ryan Giggs as they prepare to dismiss beleaguered manager Francesco Guidolin this week.
Guidolin is poised to become the first casualty of the season, with Manchester United legend Giggs one of the leading contenders to replace him. Swansea's American owners, Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien, were assessing their options yesterday after their fourth loss in a row.
Giggs, who is believed to have met the club hierarchy in London on Thursday, has been out of football since leaving Old Trafford in July. He faces competition from ex-USA coach Bob Bradley, while Swansea's owners are thought to have spoken with other candidates before Saturday's home game.
