No place for Paul Scholes in Jamie Carragher's side while only one Liverpool player makes Gary Neville's cut.

It is bound to cause endless debate, but the two Sy Spots pundits picked their all-time best elevens, though there were restrictions.

Carragher could only choose players from UK and Ireland, while Neville had to pick a team of players compromised only from overseas.

A hypothetical match would have some mouth-watering match-ups, with Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira locking horns in the middle of the park and Alan Shearer up against Nemanja Vidic.

Carragher sided with Steven Gerrard ahead of Paul Scholes while Dennis Bergkamp can count himself unlucky not to make the former Manchester United man's selection.
