Everton fans rejoice at news of the axing of Roberto Martinez

Everton fans have reacted with delight at news that Roberto Martinez has been dismissed as manager.
The 42-year-old was fired after a turgid campaign for the Toffees which sees them currently 12th in the Premier League table. Having finished fifth in his first campaign as manager after arriving from Wigan, there has been a perception that the club has failed to progress.
Everton finished 11th last term and at best can only match that this season if results go their way on the day of the campaign.
Everton fans, who witnessed their side lose semi-finals in both the FA Cup and Capital One Cup this term, have been reacting on Twitter to the news - mostly with delight...

Thank God for that. I'd have sacked Martinez after Annfield but what do I know— N.r Tuohy (@tuovaldinho) May 12, 2016
FINALLY. Several months later than it should've been though. Cheerio Martinez. https://t.co/EA1qOSgYAO— All Steve (@AllSteve1) May 12, 2016

Wanted Martinez to succeed; enjoyed 1st season more than any since finishing 4th, but horrible decline since then and an overdue decision.— Matt Cheetham (@Matt_Cheetham) May 12, 2016
