Costa to escape ban over clash with Skrtel

Diego Costa will escape any retrospective action over his clash with Martin Skrtel during Chelsea's 3-1 defeat against Liverpool.
Costa faced another trial by television after the striker was accused of pushing his studs into the chest of Liverpool's Skrtel during the second half.
However, the FA does not plan to take any action because referee Mark Clattenburg witnessed the incident and dealt with it at the time.
Costa was retrospectively banned for three games earlier this season after television cameras caught the Spain international putting an arm in the face of the Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.
The news will come as a small consolation to Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho who was angered by the fact that Clattenburg had allowed the Liverpool midfielder Lucas to stay on the pitch by not showing him a second yellow card.
Mourinho refused to talk about the Lucas challenge for fear of invoking his suspended one-game stadium ban.
