Colm Cooper (Liverpool fan and Kerry player)
"All but one of my brothers are United fans. Mark is the exception and, for some reason, I followed him.
"Why? I don't know, I just liked them. John Aldridge and Ray Houghton were playing for them at the time, so maybe it was an Irish thing. And I suppose you don't swap clubs.
"When the fixture list comes out at the start of the season, the two games you automatically look for are the two against United. Maybe that's a respect for them, because they have been the benchmark for the last number of years.
"The rivalry is huge and, now that United have caught up on the record (of league titles), that's very much playing on Liverpool supporters' minds. It's going to add to the intensity this weekend.
"I think £50m for Torres was good business. Suarez, I think, was a great signing. We probably paid over the odds for Andy Carroll but, potentially, he could be excellent. Time will tell.
"In fairness to Torres, I'm not sure if he's ever won anything at club level. As good as he's been with Atletico Madrid and Liverpool, he has no medals to show for it. And I'm sure that was part of his thinking going to Chelsea.
"Dalglish has done a decent job since taking over. The man's a true Liverpool legend and he certainly has the supporters' backing. I'd like him to get the job long-term and see how he goes. Hopefully, he'll get a bit more backing from the Americans in the summer."
FORECAST: Liverpool 2 (Gerrard, Suarez), United 1 (Berbatov).
