City keen to seal £38m Aguero deal

manchester city will push on with their £38m bid to sign Sergio Aguero (23) from Atletico Madrid despite the collapse of the sale of Carlos Tevez to Corinthians.

The club are hopeful that Aguero's arrival will make them less reliant on their want-away captain.

Spurs eye Adebayor

SPURS manager Harry Redknapp has said he is interested in signing Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City, but only on loan.

The Togolese striker's wages of £150,000 a week are double what Spurs' highest earners are paid.

City would be delighted to get rid of Adebayor, but would rather a permanent deal than a loan.

N'Zogbia to strike

Charles N'Zogbia will go on strike in an attempt to force Wigan to sell him as his frustration boils over following the rejection of a £9m bid from Aston Villa.
