Diego Costa has admitted he could be about to leave Chelsea, as speculation mounts that he could be set to seal a return to his former club Atletico Madrid.

Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a return to Chelsea two years after he left Stamford Bridge for Everton in a £28m and when Costa was asked by Belgian daily Het Nieuwsblad about a possible deal for the striker who scored 25 Premier League goals this season, he offer this response.

“I do not know, that’s a decision for the club,” stated Costa. “Of course Lukaku is a very big player who has played an impressive season.

“I hope he will have the possibility to sign at Chelsea because Chelsea is a unique club.”

When he was asked to comment on the improved for of Michy Batshuayi that he appeared to give a hint that his time at Chelsea is coming to an end.

“He is a big player and has an impressive future for himself,” he added.

“He has proven in the last games that he has quality and scoring ability. He is a boy who will take more big steps.

“Hopefully he will continue to grow and keep his head up. He has all the qualities to stay here.

“Chelsea might sign a new striker, Batshuayi may stay because he’s young and I could be leaving.”

Lukaku is reported to be ready to turn down the advances of all clubs in a bid to push for move to Chelsea, amid claims that he has set his heart on a return to Stamford Bridge.
