Five reasons why Chelsea will win the Premier League

Chelsea's impressive recent run of form has seen them slashed to 3/1 third favourites to land the Premier League this season. Here are five reasons why the Stamford Bridge outfit will do it.
1. Antonio Conte
Unlike Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte has the ability to keep his head and make good, thought-out decisions in tense matches which could be the difference from a draw from a win.
He is also a tactical mastermind who can change a game very quickly and doesn’t have to rely on world class players to be on top of their game.
2. Their 3-4-3 formation
In Chelsea’s last five games they have scored 17, conceded zero and accumulated 15 from a possible 15 points. That all came from Conte’s choice to change the formation from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-3 and deploy Moses and Alonso as the two wing backs to get up and down the pitch.
With this formation you have the three fast centre backs with Gary Cahill, David Luiz who has a mistake in him has the pace to get back and redeem it, and Cesar Azpiicueta who is not traditionally a centre back has the skill as a defender.
3. Strength in depth
As for every team in the Premier League at some point during the season, Chelsea will be hit with injuries at some point. if Courtois gets injured, although it would be a massive loss, there is a very capable goalkeeper in Begovic.
In defence, John Terry can still lead a team and has the timing of tackles and football knowledge to make up for a lack of pace.
Kurt Zouma is also coming back from injury to give Luiz something to think about. Willian is still waiting in the wings following a recent absence from the team
As for the midfielders, Chelsea have them in abundance with Cesc Fabregas, Loftus-Cheek, Oscar and Mikel all taking up space on the bench of late.
4. No European football
With no European football and after being knocked out of the League Cup, Chelsea have less matches which gives players time to rest and reduces the amount of injuries and changes in the starting line-up.
With Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham all playing Champions League football, the Chelsea players will be fresher than their title rivals.
5. Key Players
To win a title every team need a couple of key players to shine. Last season Leicester had Mahrez, Vardy, Kante and the centre back pairing who really stood out and took charge. For Chelsea it’s Hazard, Costa, Kante who are all standing out for an impressive Chelsea team.
