Cesc Fabregas was involved in an altercation with several other players during a Chelsea training session on Wednesday, the day before Jose Mourinho's second stint at Stamford Bridge was ended.
The incident occurred during a practice game between the senior squad and player's from the club's academy when Fabregas reportedly made a dangerous challenge which sparked the row.
According to The Times, the tackle wasn't that bad but it illustrated the tension around Chelsea's Cobham training ground.
Coaching staff had to step in to separate players but it is unclear whether Jose Mourinho was involved.
Mourinho was sacked 24 hours later just seven months after leading Chelsea to the title.
