Carroll set for kop debut
Andy Carroll is in line to make his Liverpool debut against Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday after the club's record signing finally joined his team-mates for full training, more than a month after his £ 35m transfer.
Carroll looked sharp as he underwent a punishing training session under the watchful eyes of Kenny Dalglish, Sammy Lee and first-team coach Steve Clarke. He will be examined by the club's medical staff today to check he has not suffered an adverse reaction.
Dalglish remains hopeful, too, that Fabio Aurelio, Raul Meireles and Daniel Agger will also all be available to ease the injury crisis, but defender Martin Kelly has been ruled out for a month after tearing a hamstring during last weekend's defeat at West Ham.
