Bernard Jackman (Man Utd fan and former rugby player)

"I've followed United since Kevin Moran (right) was sent off in the '85 Cup final. I would have been nine at the time.

"Just being from a GAA background, I suppose Moran captured my imagination. Then, when I went to play with Sale Sharks, I used go to Old Trafford eight or nine times a year. Some of our sponsors were also sponsors at United and it was easy enough to get tickets.

"I've been back pretty much every year since. My favourite was the 3-0 win over Liverpool (March '08) when (Javier) Mascherano was sent off. United just dominated them, which is rare enough in this fixture.

"I suppose it would seal Dalglish's return as a hero if they were to put a damper on United this week. But I'd like to think United would have enough to get a result at Anfield. You have to give Alex Ferguson (left) credit. I thought Rooney acted very poorly towards the club earlier in the season, but Ferguson was able to retrieve the situation. Not every manager would have been strong enough to do that.

"After losing to Chelsea, it's important to bounce back now. Personally, I think it's good that it's Liverpool. It'll sharpen the minds."

FORECAST:

Liverpool 0, United 2 (Rooney 2).
