Crystal Palace secured their first Premier League win under Sam Allardyce at the sixth time of asking as Bournemouth completed January without a win.

Eagles winger Wilfried Zaha was excellent on his first appearance since returning from the African Nations Cup, but it was Scott Dann who gave the visitors the lead less than a minute into the second half.

The defender capitalised on Damien Delaney's clever flick to score his first goal since September.

There was further good news for Palace last night when a loan move was confirmed for Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho with Palace paying a £2m loan fee plus Sakho's wages. They have also signed midfielder Luka Milivojevic from Olympiakos for £11m.
