West Brom had two players sent off in the opening half-hour as their impressive start to the season was brought to an end with this loss at Blackpool last night.
The Baggies, unbeaten in six league games, had Pablo Ibanez sent off after just 11 minutes when he was harshly adjudged to have brought down DJ Campbell in the area and as the last man.
Charlie Adam slotted home the penalty before the visitors' hopes were delivered a second hammer-blow when Gonzalo Jara was red-carded on 29 minutes for scything down Luke Varney with a ugly two-footed challenge.
The home fans sensed a first Premier League win at Bloomfield Road and Blackpool found a second goal in the 61st minute, when Elliot Grandin slid a pass across goal for Varney to tap in.
West Brom battled bravely and pulled one back with five minutes left thanks to Youssouf Mulumbu.
