Arsenal will refuse to include any key players as part of negotiations for Petr Cech but remain hopeful of signing the Chelsea goalkeeper.

Although Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will allow Cech to move to another English club, Jose Mourinho suggested he'd like to bring in a player from a rival as part of the deal.

Mourinho is looking for a striker, midfielder and defender and has repeatedly described Arsenal's squad as "phenomenal". The Chelsea manager particularly likes Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but Arsene Wenger does not want to include his best players in any deal.

Arsenal are believed to be Cech's preferred destination although Manchester United are likely to be interested if David de Gea moves to Real Madrid. Paris St-Germain could also enter bidding, with Cech due to meet Chelsea to discuss his future next week.

Mourinho said: "For every club that is interested in Petr, I can find a player that I like in that team too." (© The Daily Telegraph)
