Arsenal are the bookies favourites to sign Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick when his contract expires this summer.
Carrick, who has won every major club honour in football since joining the Red Devils in 2006, is out of contract after today's FA Cup final and it is unclear whether the Old Trafford bosses will offer the holding midfielder a new deal.
A report that appeared during the week in The Star said that Carrick wouldn't sign a contract extension if Louis van Gaal remains in charge.
According to the Mirror and the Express, Arsenal have been installed as 15/8 favourites to secure Carrick's signature.
Although Granit Xhaka looks set to sign for the Gunners from Borussia Monchengladbach, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky could all be leaving in the other direction so although Carrick signing does seem far-fetched, there is a bit of room in central midfield.
His odds to stay at Old Trafford are 2/1 while a return to West Ham to play under Slaven Bilic is the third most likely outcome according to the bookies, at 11/4.
