Arsenal are considering a bid for River Plate's teenage defender Emanuel Mammana.
The 19-year-old has alerted a number of clubs in Europe to his services with a string of solid performances for the Argentine club side.
Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing him with Arsene Wenger hoping to bring the player to the Premier League and bolstering his defensive options.
Tottenham could also come in for the player, however, with Mauricio Pochettino understood to have sent scouts to watch him in action for Argentina U20s.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have joined the race to sign Arsenal-target Marco Reus this summer.
Arsenal have been long linked with a move for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, but it appears the Spanish giants are ready to make their move.
Reus did sign a fresh Dortmund contract until 2019 recently, but could be tempted to leave the Bundesliga.
It is reported in Spanish paper AS, that Real are considering an initial £25m offer for the World Cup winner.
Manchester United and Liverpool have also been linked with a move for a player who has scored 11 goals in 24 games for club and country this season. It is not a bad return given he has been sidelined with various injuries during the campaign.
