players' pay bonanza
PREMIER LEAGUE players could be set for a £480m wage bonanza as a result of the new television deal that will be implemented this summer.
The Deloitte Annual Review 2013 says previous trends suggest that up to 80pc of the additional £600m clubs will receive will go into the pockets of players.
Wage bills for all employees at Premier League clubs reached £1.658bn for the season 2011/12, which the report focuses on.
Manchester City were top payers at £202m. Swansea were bottom at £35m.
The new television deal will land clubs an additional annual figure of between £25m and £35m.
