Paul McShane the latest withdrawal from Ireland squad

HULL defender Paul McShane has withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad for tomorrow night's friendly against Greece through injury.

McShane had a scan on a calf injury earlier in the week, but has been forced to admit defeat and has followed Stoke striker Jon Walters in heading home.

A spokesman for the Football Association of Ireland said: "Paul McShane has withdrawn from the squad to face Greece in Aviva Stadium tomorrow night due to a calf injury. He will return to his club later today for treatment. No replacement has been called up."
