RUBY Clarke is determined to get to Poland by the cheapest means possible -- even if that means driving from Lithuania.

The 20-year-old is one of several hundred fans who have booked flights to the capital Vilnius and will then board a bus for a lengthy overland journey to Poland. A huge Ireland fan, she has already been to 25 away games and is determined to stay in Poland and Ukraine for as long as the Irish team is there.

A large group of fans have booked one-way flights with Ryanair to Vilnius for €75 and are hiring buses to travel south to Torun, which is halfway between Gdansk and Poznan.

"We know people who are spending a couple of grand to get there but we're doing it as cheaply as possible," she said last night from her home in Sandyford, Dublin.

"I know a lot of the people who will be going on the bus and I'd describe them as family. And it's going to be a bit of craic.

"I'd rather sit on the bus than sit in an airport waiting for hours on a connection.

"We'll definitely be there for 12 days and I'll stay on if we get through."

Her father Alan and Steve 'Amsterdam' Krigett are organising the trip which has now swelled to fill four buses.

"It's going to cost people about €40 a head to get from Vilnius and about €20 on match days to get to the games," said Mr Clarke.

He said he is determined that the entire trip will cost less than €500 -- although food and drink will be extra.

Anyone who wishes to book onto the bus can email euro2012bus@gmail.com
