We must be on top of our game, admits Caulfield

John Caulfield believes that mental strength will be the key to Cork City coming through a tough test in Sweden to set up a big night in Turner's Cross next week.

The Leesiders are in Gothenburg to take on BK Hacken in the first leg of their Europa League second round qualifier and Caulfield feels that a strong will under pressure will be key against an opponent with a reputation for a potent attack.

Their hosts finished seventh in the Swedish top flight last year but qualified for Europe after a dramatic victory in the final of their main cup competition.

"They are vastly experienced and a very strong side, so we know we have to be on top of our game," said Caulfield, whose side travelled on Tuesday to prepare for the tie.

"We will need maximum concentration and everyone has to work as hard as they can. We will be under pressure, but the lads have done fantastically this year. While they are favourites, we have great resolve, great commitment and great spirit in our team and a really great attitude."

Caulfield expects Alan Browne and Steven Beattie to be fit but doubts hang over Greg Bolger and Kenny Browne.
