A powerful first-half performance from Everton saw the Premier League side take control of their last-32 Europa Cup tie against Young Boys with Seamus Coleman among the goalscorers.

The Toffees fell behind after 10 minutes after Guillaume Hoarau found the net for the home side, but four minutes after Romelu Lukaku levelled matters, the Republic of Ireland defender slid in at the far post to put Roberto Martinez's side ahead.

Lukaku added his second and Everton's third to ensure the premier League side held a 3-1 lead at the interval.

Lukaku needed just 13 minutes of the second half to complete his hat-trick, while John Stones was red carded in an eventful game in Berne.
