Robbie Keane: The MLS is not crap

Robbie Keane has launched a staunch defence of the MLS, claiming the League is 'not crap' while claiming top European players want to ply their trade in America.
The Irish captain scored 126 Premier League goals in 349 appearances and he was in defensive mode following a series of poor results by MLS clubs against English outfits.
"Why is it that all these players from Europe are wanting to come over here and play here?" he said.
"Because the league is crap?"
"Let's be honest. It's because the league is competitive. Now, it's tough. Now, it's a hard league.""
LA Galaxy were trounced 7-0 by Manchester United in a pre-season friendly but Keane was quick to emphasis that nothing was won or lost from the match.
"After the Man United game, we didn't win anything tonight," Keane said of the result. "We didn't lose anything tonight, just a Man United game.
"The Premiership is a different breed," Keane went on. "Are we trying to close that gap? Of course we are.
"Will it take time? Yeah, of course it will take time. As long as we keep progressing...This league is only going to get better and better."
