Brighton manager Chris Hughton has handed Richie Towell his debut in today’s third round FA Cup clash with Hull City.
The former Dundalk midfielder signed for the Seagulls before Christmas but was ineligible until last week and Hughton has given the free-scoring Towell the chance to shine against Steve Bruce’s Hull.
Towell features in a side that also contains Liam Ridgewell and Tom Ince.
The 24-year-old hit 25 league goals for Dundalk as they claimed the title, but made little secret of his desire to move cross-channel.
