Niall Quinn has packed in his role as a Sky Sports pundit to pursue business interests outside the media.

The former Ireland striker was a regular fixture in Sky's football coverage, especially since broadcasting Saturday games in Ireland.

But he has opted to leave with his duties to be shared around; Keith Andrews will now figure prominently in their station's Irish coverage.

Quinn said: "I'm moving on to a new business opportunity and I've had to make the tough decision and choose one path and really devote myself to that. I'll miss the team ethic in Sky Sports, the love of the game, alongside the ambition to deliver coverage of the highest quality."

Andrews said: "I get on very, very well with Niall and it was a bit of shock to me to hear the news. Such is life. He will be a loss to broadcasting. I always enjoyed listening to him."
