Leeds United's new manager Garry Monk says he will focus on reviving the club's fortunes rather than worrying about becoming owner Massimo Cellino's next sacking.

The former Swansea City boss is the seventh coach to manage the second-tier English club since it was bought two years ago and succeeds Steve Evans, who was sacked after just seven months in charge.

Monk, dismissed by Premier League Swansea in December, has signed a one-year rolling contract at Elland Road.

But he gave short shrift to the inevitable questions at his first news conference about his likely "shelf life" under Cellino, who is on his seventh manager since acquiring Leeds in 2014.

"It isn't my focus. My focus is on the football," he said.
