Irish teen Conor Masterson (17) named on Liverpool bench for FA Cup tie

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has named 17-year-old Irish underage international Conor Masterson on the bench as the Reds travel to take on Exeter City in tonight’s FA Cup third round.
Klopp has been forced to name an experimental side due to a catalogue of injuries, with the likes of Connor Randall, Brad Smith, Cameron Brannagan and Ryan Kent starting at St. james’ Park.
The Irish teen has been selected on the bench and could yet feature in the opening third-round fixture of the weekend.
Masterson signed for the Anfield side back in 2012 from Lucan United, in a deal reportedly worth £1m to the defender, and has captained the Republic of Ireland at U-17 level.
If former Lucan Utd defender Conor Masterson gets on the pitch tonight, he'll be Liverpool's first Irish player since Robbie Keane in 2009.— Miguel Delaney (@MiguelDelaney) January 8, 2016
Would also be the 19th Irish player in Liverpool's history - which seems surprisingly low.— Miguel Delaney (@MiguelDelaney) January 8, 2016
