Ireland's Robbie Brady scores absolute stunner as Norwich pip Wolves
Wolves 1 Norwich 2
Norwich striker Cameron Jerome's quick-fire goal and a sublime finish from Robbie Brady secured a 2-1 Sky Bet Championship victory at Wolves.
Jerome grabbed his fifth goal of the season after only one minute 45 seconds and Brady grabbed his first of the campaign in the 73rd minute as Norwich bounced back from their amazing late defeat at Newcastle United in their previous game.
They did, though, have to survive a late scare when Dave Edwards gave Wolves hope by reducing the arrears with 10 minutes left.
Norwich's latest success was their fifth in their last six league matches and moved them back into second place in the table as they continue to make a determined bid to make an instant return to the Premier League.
In sharp contrast to that impressive run, Wolves slipped to back-to-back defeats for the first time this season as they struggled to really test the Norwich backline.
The only real highlight for Wolves was the long-awaited comeback of striker Nouha Dicko.
Dicko played the final 29 minutes in his first appearance since suffering serious knee ligament damage against Charlton in August last year.
He had an excellent chance to put Wolves on level terms in the 67th minute.

Edwards flicked a cross from Ivan Cavaleiro to Dicko but his shot was smothered by Michael McGovern and Brady took full advantage of that let off.
Jerome gave Norwich the perfect start when he caught the Wolves defence flat-footed.
Wes Hoolahan's cross initially looked to be of little threat. But Wolves made the mistake of leaving Jerome unmarked and the former Birmingham striker rose to head past the stranded Carl Ikeme from close range.
It would have been easy for Wolves to wilt after that early blow, but they quickly launched a bid to force their way back on to level terms Cavaleiro saw his shot blocked and then Helder Costa's curling effort flew just the wrong side of McGovern's post.
Having weathered that Wolves flurry, Norwich should really have taken a firmer grip on the game after 30 minutes.
Alex Tettey squared the ball to Hoolahan who was in an excellent position to shoot himself 12 yards from goal. Instead he chose to pass to Jacob Murphy, and Murphy drilled a low drive goalwards only to be denied by a spectacular save with his legs by Ikeme.
Wolves continued to try and probe for a way back into the game and the skilful Joao Teixeira will think that he should have done better after jinking into the area in the 51st minute only to lift his shot wide.
Dicko then wasted his big chance before Jerome turned provider for Brady. Ikeme was left clawing at thin air when Brady beat him from 25 yards.
Norwich looked set to ease to victory after Brady's intervention but Edwards made them fight all the way for the three points when he rose to head Matt Doherty's right-wing cross beyond McGovern.
