Ireland to host World Cup heroes USA in November
The FAI has confirmed that that Ireland will host the USA in an international friendly on Tuesday November 18 at the Aviva Stadium.
Manager Jürgen Klinsmann will take his USA squad to Dublin following their dramatic run at the FIFA 2014 World Cup, where they emerged to the knockout stages from Group G after beating Ghana, and drawing with Portugal, falling to Belgium despite 16 record saves from goalkeeper Tim Howard during the game.
It will follow four days on from the Republic's Euro 2016 qualifying match against Scotland at Parkhead in Glasgow.
Before the November fixtures, the Republic have a friendly against Oman on September 3 followed by European Championship qualifiers against Georgia, Gibraltar and Germany.
