Manchester United fans paid tribute tonight to club legend George Best by marking the 10th anniversary of the Northern Irishman’s death.

Supporters' group Stretford End Flags have created a commemorative banner with the words 'Georgie... Simply the Best' that will be unveiled before tonight’s Champions League fixture with PSV Eindhoven.

In the seventh minute of the match against the Dutch champions, fans waved lights to honour the man who wore the number seven jerse4y with distinction.

Best played a total of 474 matches for United, scoring 181 times, and won two league championships and the European Cup in 1968.
