When Santi Cazorla put Arsenal into the lead against Southampton, his team-mates were rightly ecstatic. Olivier Giroud was perhaps a little more excited than others.

The Spaniard scored to put the Gunners 2-1 up on Tuesday night, though the lead was short-lived as Adam Lallana scored the equaliser less than two minutes later.

Giroud, who had scorer with a brilliant finish in the first half, raced over to his team-mate and his reaction was to get his hands inside Cazorla’s shorts.

The possible explanations are endless, from a simple slip to warming his hands on what was a wet and cold night at St. Marys, to many others.

The picture has been popular on social media, though some guesses at what the French striker was doing are far too coarse to repeat.
