THE Boys in Green will be that little bit greener when they tog out against the boys from Brazil in a friendly at Arsenal's Emirates stadium next month.

Fans will notice that the squad will be decked out in a darker shade of green -- or 'St Patrick's Green' -- which will replace the emerald green.

They'll also be sporting a new version of the FAI crest trimmed in gold with gold seam details and a new anatomical design, while 1950s-60s-style hooped socks will complete the ensemble.

The hooped socks make it harder for defenders to read what attackers are about to do.

It's all part of a complete kit makeover as Umbro yesterday unveiled the new Ireland home kit. It will come complete with a new Anthem jacket.

Irish players will sport their new look for the first time against Brazil in their friendly on March 2. The new kit is expected to cost about €60 when it goes on sale on March 11.
