New Baggies boss to decide Andrews future
KEITH ANDREWS looks like having to wait until the appointment of a new West Brom manager before learning if he has a future with the Baggies.
The Dubliner impressed under Roy Hodgson in his six-month stint at the Hawthorns. He signed a short-term deal with a view to securing a longer arrangement, but the abrupt departure of Hodgson has left the Irish international in limbo.
West Brom have showed a willingness to keep Andrews. They released other out-of-contract players yesterday, but indicated they want to have talks with Andrews and Paul Scharner.
They also exercised an option to keep Andrews' Irish team-mate Simon Cox for another year.
Cox was frustrated with his lack of opportunities last season and indicated he viewed the Euros as a chance to put himself in the shop window. Swansea are on his trail and keen to open talks.
However, the change in management could improve his outlook at West Brom.
