CHRIS McCANN has turned down the offer of a new contract at Burnley and has left the club, writes ruaidhri O'Connor.
The 25-year-old Dubliner came through the ranks at Turf Moor and played 269 times for the Clarets, but has decided to move on.
"Chris has made it clear to the club that he would like a fresh challenge," a spokesman for his agency said. "He won't be signing a new deal."
Meanwhile, Dubliner Alan Judge (24) is set to rejoin Blackburn Rovers on a three-year deal after leaving Notts County at the end of his contract.
