Maradona finds his diamond geezer

DIEGO MARADONA'S reluctance to pay tax while he earned his living in Italy came back to haunt him when his jewels were confiscated by the Italian revenue while on a recent visit to the country.
The jewels were then auctioned off to help pay towards an estimated €35m tax debt, but it seems Maradona will now be reunited with a highly prized diamond earring after a mystery buyer revealed himself... step forward Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli.
Although it was an unknown woman who was present at the auction to pay €25,000 for the earring last month, Miccoli says she was acting on his behalf.
It is believed Miccoli intends to give the earring back to its rightful owner, although it didn't stop him wearing it during Palermo's 3-1 win over Lazio last Sunday.
