Manchester United are keen on signing Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca, according to the Metro.

The paper quotes Spanish sources as saying United are preparing a €30m deal for Bacca and have already started negotiations with the La Liga club.

Bacca has shot to prominence this season after a fine season in Spain, and he capped his campaign with two goals in the Europa League final against Dnipro.

Roma and AC Milan are also interested in Bacca, who used to work as a bus conductor in his native Colombia before committing to a career in football.

Meanwhile, Germany defender Philipp Lahm has revealed that he once turned down the opportunity to move to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich.

Lahm is quoted by Squawka as saying: "As a player you always think about your options, and there was a time where Manchester United made an approach for me - and Barcelona looked at me too - so I considered life in England or Spain.

"The Premier League was an interesting possibility. But in the end I decided to stay in Germany.
