Manchester United transfer news: Iker Casillas drops hint over David de Gea's Real Madrid move

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has dropped a major hint that David de Gea is on his way to Spain this summer.
De Gea appears likely to quit Old Trafford for Real, who are planning a major overhaul of their squad under incoming new head coach Rafael Benitez.
De Gea would be likely to cost around £60million, and there had been suggestions Real could be open to letting Gareth Bale join United to help facilitate the transfer.
Casillas' position at the Bernabeu has been in major doubt regardless after a patchy season, but the Spain international insists he would welcome the arrival of De Gea at the Bernabeu - and even claimed to have told club president Florentino Perez to sign him.
In comments reported by The Sun, Casillas said: "I'm delighted with the competition. We will have to compete for a place like we do with Spain if he does come here. He can handle the pressure.
"Florentino once asked me, if it were up to me, which keeper I'd sign. I prefer Spanish keepers. Right now, De Gea is the expert."
United had been increasingly resigned to De Gea leaving United and have already drawn up a list of possible replacements in goal, with Tottenham's Hugo Lloris among those under consideration.
But Louis van Gaal offered some hope that the Spaniard could be persuaded to sign a new contract last week. "I believe still that David de Gea shall stay," the United manager said.
