Liverpool's departed players continue to impress with their new clubs

The last week or so must have been particularly frustrating for Liverpool fans as three players who failed to deliver for the Reds have all done very well for their new clubs.
First, misfiring striker Iago Aspas helped Celta Vigo demolish Barcelona in La Liga. Then Mario Balotelli scored a rocket of a free kick for AC Milan, which leaves him just three goals shy of his Liverpool total from last season.
Now Serbian wing Lazar Markovic, who has been loaned out to Fenerbache, showed more pace and verve in one run for his new club than he exhibited in his brief Liverpool career.
Nobody seemed particularly aggrieved when Liverpool opted to sell Aspas and loan out the other two but as the club struggle for form in the Premier League, fans will be angry that the three players proved so ineffectual in England.

Maybe Brendan Rodgers might think twice about offloading another underperforming player in the future, just in case they start tearing up trees in a new surrounding.
