Liverpool flop shows Kop what they are missing

Liverpool fans watching their side's painful victory over Carlisle on penalties last night would have been forgiven for thinking that things couldn't get any worse.
Their side are 13th in the Premier League table with just two wins from six games, and have managed to score just four league goals so far this campagin - one less than Robert Lewandowski managed to notch in nine minutes for Bayern Munich.
However, Reds would have been aghast when they returned home last night to see one of Brendan Rodgers' most conclusive flop-signings putting Barcelona to the sword in La Liga.
Iago Aspas scored twice in Celta Vigo's shock 4-1 victory over the La Liga champions last night, including this delightful dink over Barca keeper, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
Iago Aspas you naughty man https://t.co/np6ez9VWB1— Footy Accumulators (@FootyAccums) September 23, 2015
Aspas' heroics will do little do ease the memory of the Spaniard's scuffed corner that continues to haunt Liverpool fans to this day.
The then Liverpool number nine's pitiful delivery led directly to the second Chelsea goal which officially killed off Liverpool's title challenge in 2014.
The irony of Iago Aspas' masterclass coinciding with Liverpool's Capital One Cup struggles against League Two Carlisle United was not lost on the Twitter masses...
Iago Aspas has scored a gorgeous chip to put Celta 2-0 up against Barcelona. The same man who did this: https://t.co/ZxDIcALpGI— Paddy Power (@paddypower) September 23, 2015
