Shamrock Rovers relentlessly continued their march towards a first league title in 16 years as they swept Bray aside last night.
Pat Devlin's side had beaten St Pat's and tested Bohs in the last seven days, but they had no answer for the Hoops, who stretched their lead to five points in the title race.
Bray left-back Sean Houston inadvertently opened the floodgates by bundling Billy Dennehy's low cross into his own net.
Stephen Rice doubled the lead on 23 minutes after Gary Twigg drew the last defender and put the midfielder through and he finished coolly.
And before the half-hour was out, Twigg had made it three as he capitalised on hesitation in the defence to hook in Danny Murphy's cross.
The Scottish marksman added a fourth before the break, running on to Neale Fenn's measured pass and slotting past Gregg.
Michael O'Neill was able to withdraw Twigg and Murray as precautions at half-time and the second half was played out at a pedestrian pace, before Gary Dempsey pulled one back.
