Striker Fenn calls it a day

LEAGUE OF Ireland veteran Neale Fenn yesterday announced his retirement from the game, leaving Dundalk, where he had made a huge impact this season, WRITES NEIL AHERN.

The former Cork City and Bohemians striker, who played Premier League football with Tottenham before moving to Ireland, cited personal reasons for his departure. Fenn claimed three League of Ireland titles, two with Bohs and one with Cork, as well as an FAI Cup and League Cup with the Dubliners during a fine career. He will be replaced at Dundalk by their new signing, 30-year-old striker Matthew Tipton.
