Stephen Kenny signs contract extension keeping him at Dundalk until 2020
Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Oriel Park until 2020.
Kenny, who led Dundalk to three Airtricity League titles in a row and last season's Europa League group stages, signed on the dotted line this afternoon.
Dundalk said in a statement: "Dundalk Football Club are delighted to announce that manager Stephen Kenny has signed a new contract at the club.
"Kenny who has been at the club since November 2012 has overseen unprecedented success at Oriel Park leading the club to three league titles in a row for the first time in the club’s history, the FAI Cup, the EA Sports Cup and the historic European run in 2016 which culminated in reaching the group stages of the UEFA Europa League.
"The boss signed his contract this afternoon which will see him stay at the helm until the end of the 2020 season."
The prospects of a fourth league title on the bounce look remote, with the Lilywhites currently second in the league and trailing leaders Cork City by17 points having played a game extra.
