Sligo Rovers v Derry City

(Showgrounds, RTE2, 2.45)

League form: Sligo WDDLW, Derry WDWWW

Match odds: Sligo 6/5, Derry 9/4, Draw 21/10

Referee: D McKeon (Dublin)

Team News: Alan Keane is back for Sligo and is set to take his place on the bench, while Brendan Clarke and John Russell also return. Gareth McGlynn remains out for Derry, but Mark Farren is set for a place on the bench after his recovery from a brain tumour. Kevin Deery and Michael McCrudden face fitness tests.

Talking Point: Win or bust for Sligo, who could go six points behind Derry with defeat. The last time they met at the Showgrounds there were four red cards when they went to extra-time and penalties in the EA Sports Cup, so this game should be entertaining.

Verdict: Draw

Dundalk v Shamrock Rovers

(Oriel Park, Setanta, 5.30)

League form: Dundalk WDDDD, Shamrock Rovers LWWWW

Match odds: Dundalk 3/1, Shamrock Rovers 5/6, Draw 23/10

Referee: R Winter (Wicklow)

Team News: New signings Rohan Ricketts and Jim Paterson are available for Rovers, who lack the injured Conor McCormack, Ken Oman and Dean Kelly, while Ronan Finn is a doubt. Eoghan Osborne (tibia), Stephen McDonnell (knee) and Stephen Maher (fractured metatarsal) are out for the hosts.

Talking Point: The Hoops have struggled at Oriel Park in the past and after a lacklustre display against UCD in the Cup, Michael O'Neill will want his side to re-focus their energies on domestic affairs after their European heroics.

Verdict: Draw.

Bohemians v Bray Wdrs

(Dalymount Park, 7.0)

League form: Bohemians WLWLD, Bray WLLWD

Match odds: Bohemians 4/6, Bray 9/2, Draw 23/10

Referee: P Sutton (Clare)

Team News: Liam Burns and Christy Fagan are suspended for Bohs who welcome Robert Bayly and Stephen Traynor back. Gary Dempsey is out for the Seagulls with a knee injury. Adam Mitchell, Danny O'Connor and Stephen Last are suspended.

Talking Point: The Gypsies have been comfortable against Bray this season and with the Seagulls suffering a dip in form -- and without three key members of their team, Pat Fenlon's men will fancy their chances of making it three out of three against the Wicklow side.

Verdict: Home win.

St Pat's Ath v Galway Utd

(Richmond Park, 7.30)

League form: St Pat's Ath DDLWD, Galway LLLLL

Match odds: St Pat's Ath 1/12, Galway 25/1, Draws 15/2

Referee: G Kelly (Cork)

Team News: Ian Daly is out with a back injury for the Saints, but they welcome Danny North, Shane McFaul, Evan and David McMillan back. Sean Kelly returns for Galway after a long lay-off, while Johnny Keane is out with a knee injury and Laurence Gaughan is suspended.

Talking Point: Galway's spirited display against Shamrock Rovers will give them some hope, but the Saints should build on last week's FAI Cup win in Waterford and collect the three points here, keeping pace for Europe.

Verdict: Home win

UCD v Drogheda Utd

(UCD Bowl, 7.45)

League form: UCD LLDLL, Drogheda LWWDL

Match odds: UCD 5/4, Drogheda 2/1, Draw 9/4

Referee: N Doyle (Dublin)

Team News: Ciaran Nangle is UCD's sole absentee, while Drogheda United are without the suspended Dave Rogers in the defence, but welcome Stephen Quigley, Robbie Clarke and Peter McMahon back to the squad.

Talking Point: With Galway United adrift at the foot of the table and Bray Wanderers so far ahead in seventh, this clash is the battle for eighth place and the Students are just one point ahead of the Mick Cooke's charges, whose form has improved substantially in recent weeks.

Verdict: Away win
