SHAMROCK Rovers and St Patrick's Athletic have profited from the relegation of Finnish club FC Haka by bringing Shane Robinson and Shane McFaul back into Irish football.
Former Hoop Robinson, who won the league with Drogheda United in 2007, re-signs with the club where he made his name, while midfielder McFaul is reunited with his old Sporting Fingal manager Liam Buckley at the Inchicore club he left in 2011 to join the Scandinavians. The FAI Cup finalists have also re-signed Jake Kelly for the coming season.
New Rovers boss Trevor Croly has also signed up Stephen Rice for another season. The midfielder has been at the Tallaght club since 2008 and has extended his stay by another year, while Robinson has also penned a one-year deal for his third spell at the club.
Meanwhile, former Hoops boss Stephen Kenny will be unveiled as Dundalk manager today, while Bohemians have signed up promising Ireland U-19 left-back Luke Byrne for another season.
